History
Provident Electric was established by Larry Touchet, a Baton Rouge native who started in the electrical industry at the age of 17. A year later, after graduating high school and attempting to find the best future for himself, Larry moved to the greater metropolitan area of MD/DC/VA in search of new opportunities to thrive near the nation's Capitol. After years of working for companies and foremen who seemed to be focused upon the financial goal and not the customer, Larry decided it was time to open his own shop; one that made sure its customers came first.
Within 3 years the company had gained the loyalty of over 100 clients, and sales had increased three-fold. By putting you first, we have established a business that holds firm in the community, is true to its intent, and grows stronger every year.
Our employees pride themselves on professionalism, courtesy, and communication. We encourage dialogue between staff and management to increase the total value we can give to you as your electrical contractor.
Community Involvement
It is the goal of our company to be as much a friend and neighbor in our community as we are a growing electrical contracting business.
Every year, Provident selects one household in serious need of electrical work, that may not be able to afford the expense of a high-quality contractor. Provident, coming together with the support of the local government, donates its time and materials to make the improvements so desperately needed for that family. It is through the loyalty of our current customers and support of the community that we are able to accomplish this goal
